As a graduate of Flinders University’s Masters of Physiotherapy, Riley Cocks combines knowledge gained from his degree with his significant experience managing his own injuries as an elite distance runner.
Riley is passionate about assisting clients with sports related injuries with a key interest in load management, footwear, running related injuries of the lower limb and gait analysis. He interested in all areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
As an athlete, Riley has represented Australia at two World University games in 2017 and 2019 and was selected for the World Half Marathon Championships in 2020. He is a long term member of the Flinders Athletics Club.
As a physiotherapist Riley is an eternal optimist, and primarily focuses on what the client can do, over what they can’t. With this approach he hopes to empower people to feel in control of their own rehabilitation and gain the best outcome possible.
“As a former student and member of the elite athlete development program I am looking forward to helping other athletes as well as staff and students of Flinders University” Riley says.
